Building lessons based on enduring ideas gives students opportunities to discuss, create, and respond to each other's artwork, and a foundation to build lifelong learning experiences that promote divergent thinking.
Welcome to My Teacher Page!
Exemplars of first through sixth-grade artworks. I find complete joy in working with elementary aged students as I walk along side them through the employment of the Studio Habits of Mind.
It is my joy and duty to ensure that students see themselves in every lesson. I encourage students to embrace the process of creating and welcoming unexpected outcomes in their artwork, which often lead to more fulfilling resolutions in the end.

One of the critical strategies for promoting a positive classroom climate is developing lessons that connect students with the material.
Acrylic painting, dry-media sketching and my new-found joy of monoprint, drive my creativity. For me inspiration begins with observations from nature, research, and exploration of materials.
My experience as an illustrator, muralist, and teaching artist have given me a depth and breadth of experience, knowledge, and skills that I am excited to share with students.
